3. The Lord is coming for a spotless bride.
4. 1 Peter 1:15,16 "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."

Transition:
If we are going to prepare the way for the Lord, we must do so by making sure that we stand clean before Him.

III. WE NEED TO PREPARE BY SEEKING THE HOLY SPIRIT (7-8).
A. Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit.
1. We need to be baptized with the Holy Spirit this Christmas.
2. Starts with Jesus.
3. Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
